Someone to talk to
Gambling Support BC takes calls at 1-888-795-6111, 24/7, and the help is free. Any resident of BC can use it. That includes people affected by someone else's gambling, not only the person who gambles. The service also has a website at gamblingsupportbc.ca.
Every casino in BC has a GameSense Advisor, including Cascades Casino Langley at 20393 Fraser Highway. A visitor can ask for one in person during a visit, rather than phoning. Anyone unsure where to start can begin with either one.
Self-exclusion with GameBreak
GameBreak is BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program. The length is the individual's choice: 6 months, or else 1, 2 or 3 years. For that period it covers casinos and community gaming centres in BC, including Cascades Casino Langley and the nearby Chances centres.
The same term also excludes the person from PlayNow.com. A chosen term cannot be changed afterwards. That makes the choice of length the main decision before starting.
